Anthropic Brings Claude to Amadeus With Two New Tools for Travel

Amadeus is building two Claude-based tools for the travel sector: a developer kit for querying flight and destination data inside Claude Code in plain language, and a Cowork plugin that lets travel sellers research, create content and take action in one conversational interface.

The two tools target different ends of the travel value chain. The developer kit is aimed at the technical teams who build on top of Amadeus's data, letting them query flight and destination information conversationally rather than through traditional API calls. The Cowork plugin is aimed the other way, at travel sellers themselves, bringing research, content creation and action into a single interface instead of the usual patchwork of booking tools, spreadsheets and browser tabs.

Two tools, two ends of the value chain

Amadeus is one of the largest travel technology providers in the world, powering booking and distribution infrastructure across airlines, hotels and travel agencies globally, which makes this less a niche integration than a signal of where a major infrastructure player sees its own product roadmap heading.

Neither tool has pricing, a launch date or named customers attached yet. What exists today is a waitlist and confirmation that internal testing is complete, nothing more. For a GTM leader watching the space, that gap between built and sold is worth tracking closely: it is one thing to demo agentic tooling internally, another to get a travel industry built on legacy distribution systems to actually adopt it at scale.
